I have a list of Ayurvedic herbs on my kitchen wall and each time I look at it, I’m simply amazed that I can find half of these herbs in my very own kitchen.

1. AMALAKI (INDIAN GOOSEBERRY)
Qualities: Detoxification agent, antioxidant, rejuvenative, fights free radicals.
Supports: Mental functioning, digestive system, food absorption, cardiovascular system, circulation, urinary system, healthy vision, clear skin, hair growth.
Treats: Hyper-acidity, constipation, ulcers, high cholesterol, diabetes and anemia.
Note: Amalaki is one of the key ingredients used in Triphala, a herbal Ayurvedic formulation.

2. HARITAKI (CHEBULIC MYROBALAN)
